We are participating physicians with Blue Cross, Blue Chip, United Health, Aetna, Tufts, Medicare and Medicaid Health Plans. We will submit claims to all commercial insurance plans but we advise you to check with your insurance carrier beforehand so you are aware of exactly what your plan covers for non-participating carriers. You may also wish to ask your insurance carrier about you co pay responsibility ahead of time if you are not sure. If you have been injured at work, we will submit your bill to the Worker's Compensation carrier as long as all the proper information is provided to us. You are responsible for any deductible, co-insurance or non-covered services.

Unless your insurance plan covers office visits, you will be requested to pay at the time of each visit. Patient accounts are billed monthly. We accept cash, personal checks, VISA and MasterCard. If you do not have insurance or require special payment arrangements, please call our Billing Office at 401.783.5934, Mon - Fri, from 8:00am - 5:00pm. We will work with you to arrange a personalized payment plan. Our billing office will also help answer any questions you may have about coverage.

Should you require hospitalization, our staff will make the necessary arrangements. If your insurance company requires pre-certification or a second surgical opinion, please alert our staff to ensure that your insurance requirements are met. Each day a SCORTHO Orthopedic physician or physician assistant will monitor your hospitalization.
