 South County Orthopedics schedules physician appointments Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Routine appointments are scheduled in advance by calling 401.789.1422. If you call after hours, an answering service operator will determine the nature of your call and contact an on-call physician. Otherwise go to your local emergency room and ask to see a physician from our practice. When you call to schedule your initial appointment, please have your insurance information available at that time. We will obtain as much information as possible to verify coverage prior to your appointment, so that we are able to properly educate you on how the billing process works within our facility.  If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us at least 1 day ahead so your appointment time can be allocated to another patient seeking treatment. We recognize that your time is valuable and we make every effort to run on time. As you can imagine, emergencies occur that may cause scheduling delays beyond our control. We apologize in advance if we keep you waiting or have to reschedule your appointment. To avoid any inconvenience, please be sure that our office has both your home and business telephone numbers.
 Your first appointment will allow us to gather vital information in treating your condition. Please bring with you any X-Rays, MRI's reports, etc, you have relative to your current orthopedic condition. We also need a copy of your insurance card(s) so please remember to bring them as well. If your insurance coverage is with an HMO plan a referral is required from your primary care physician (PCP) prior to your appointment. Please call your PCP or our office if you aren't sure. To help expedite the registration process and decrease your waiting time in the reception area, our required forms are made available online. This allows you to print and complete them prior to the time of your appointment. We ask that ALL patients fill out these forms and bring them to their appointments, even if they think their information has not changed since their last visit. • If you plan on paying for your visit yourself and need to set up a payment plan, please call our Billing Office at 401.783.5934 to make prearrangements.
